(Every day around here is “Hug a Tombstone Day,” even if the idea for a special holiday never really took off.)
These are just a few of the photos I’ve taken throughout the past year depicting markers or other cemeterial objects being overtaken or displaced by tree growth. I firmly believe that Mother Nature is just reaching out to give these tombstones a nice, warm embrace (or a reassuring pat on the back).
